Ongoing Research Projects

CyberWater

The CyberWater project is establishing cyberinfrastructure around open data, through the development of an open modeling framework software. The goal of this project is to reduce the user time and effort needed to undertake hydrologic modeling studies, thereby expediting fundamental knowledge discoveries.

CIROH

Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology

CIROH, a partnership between NOAA and The University of Alabama, is a national consortium of 28 institutions aimed to develop and deliver national hydrological analyses, forecast information, data, guidance and equitable decision-support services to inform essential emergency management and water resources decisions. CUAHSI is collaborating on projects to advance hydroinformatics services for sharing data and information across the hydrologic community and community resilience planning.

Next-Generation Modeling CI

Frameworks: Collaborative Research: An Integrative Cyberinfrastructure Framework for Next-Generation Modeling Science

A new Integrative Cyberinfrastructure Framework (ICF) has been developed to enable innovative next-generation modeling of human and natural systems while advancing capacity in modeling science. This initiative supports a range of activities that integrate both human and technological components of cyberinfrastructure.
